I produce my own quarterly rock music magazine (which I've been doing in my spare time for about 16 years). You could interview me on there (although I'm a bit shy and not very good on radio or TV! Although I haven't really been on the radio... was once asked a few questions on air when I went down to Virgin Radio years ago, but I think that's been about it!) - or better still just talk about my magazine. Maybe you could play some of the bands that are featured in Black Velvet.

You can find info on Black Velvet at www.blackvelvetmagazine.com (or at www.myspace.com/blackvelvetmagazine)

It's on sale at the train station newsagents in Redditch.

Well what can i say!

OK it rained but hey that's the uk for you. It still didn't stop people turning out to have fun.

There was a real atmosphere and community spirit going on around the pond throughout the day with so may organisations to speak to and so many things to do!

Many thanks to the Batchley Support Group for letting Kingfisher FM be a part of it. As always the standard of entertainment in the marquee was through the roof!!! so many great singers and jaw dropping moments it was great.

Thanks to everyone the helped out and took part to make it a fantastic day and thanks to all those people that braved the weather to join us and have fun.

Lots of hard work but what a great atmosphere! Roll on the second Thursday in August when we will be doing it all over again with some different acts.
